Independence Park

El Parque de la Independencia es el gran pulmón verde de la ciudad de Rosario.

Wheelchair accessible area

This urban park is home to two clubs and the Coloso del Parque (The Park’s Colossus, Newell’s Old Boys stadium), 3 museums, an artificial lake, the flower calendar, two internal gardens, one with French design, and the other with English design called "El Rosedal” Square (Rose Garden) with its Fuente de los Españoles (Spanish Fountain), donated by the Spanish community in 1936.

It is also the site of the General Manuel Belgrano Memorial, built with bronze from Spanish cannons, the place where the civil-military parades were held before the National Flag Memorial was inaugurated in 1957. This green space was home to the first accessible square in the city.
